Communities in Bloom is a national Canadian non-profit, volunteer-based program that promotes “people, plants and pride." Under the auspices of Communities in Bloom and 10 years or hard work, dedication, organization and team work, the plan for Trail's white garden is finally underway.  Phyllis Stone, a Montrose veteran, had a vision to create a replica of England's Sissinghurst White Garden in Trail. It immediately caught the attention of Sue Babensee, Michael Whitehead and Donna Barr who joined forces to make this vision a realty.

Trail's Butler Park is the host of the 2011 Western Canada Baseball Championship. Make sure to stop by this weekend and see a game. The schedule is as follows: 

Friday: 11 AM Alberta vs Saskatchewan,  2PM Manitoba vs BC,  5PM Trail vs Alberta,  8PM Sask. vs Manitoba

Saturday: 8AM BC vs Alberta,  11AM Trail vs Sask.,  2PM Alberta vs Manitoba,  5PM Sask. vs BC,  8PM Manitoba vs Trail 

Sunday: 12PM 2nd vs 1st place,  3PM If necessary    

The Trail United Church needs your help. They have decided to have a "Christmas in July" where they will be accepting food donations to help those in need. All donations are welcome, but those that are high in protein and non perishable are preferred. You can bring your donations to Century 21 Kootenay Homes, which is located downtown trail at 1358 Cedar Avenue.
